Swimmer's silver success

FRASER Lowther of the Dumfries Dolphins took the silver medal in the 200m butterfly final at the British Summer Championships.

It is Dumfries ASC’s highest ever medal placing at a British championship.
As recognition of his swimming potential, Fraser, 18, has been selected for the 2015/2016 National Senior Bronze Squad by Scottish Swimming – and is on the pathway towards the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Other excellent local swims at the British Championships were by Alistair Campbell, 19, who reached 200m backstroke final and Eve White, 16, in the100m butterfly final.
Jean-Luc Diggins, 14, and Ashleigh Backhouse, 18, also achieved qualification times and swam well in their heats
