Tail wag for the region

DUMFRIES and Galloway is a dog's paradise with lots of open spaces, forest walks and sandy beaches.

As such it was the perfect holiday for George the Golden Retriever and his owners Victoria and Emma Rae, all from Glasgow.
George is VisitScotland’s official canine ambassador and was trying out the area on behalf of other dogs everywhere.
He enjoyed a walk around the grounds of Sweetheart Abbey, visited Mossyard Farm Pottery in Gatehouse of Fleet, toured the dog friendly accommodation at Laggan Outdoor Activity Centre, stopped at Castle Kennedy Gardens and took a boat trip on Loch Ken.

Owner Emma said: “George has had an amazing time on his trip to Dumfries and Galloway. We have enjoyed some fantastic walks in the region; there is so much for dogs and their owners to do.
“We know that George can’t wait to bark about his adventures to all of his friends and we hope that we will be able to inspire others to plan their canine capers to the region.”
