AN ITALIAN takeaway in Dumfries has just won two prestigious fast food awards.
Benvenuto Takeaway won the Pizza of the Year and the Best of South West Scotland awards at The Scottish Takeaway Awards 2022.
The nominations began in May and the shop’s 16,000 strong customer base rocketed Benvenuto into a finalist spot.
Benvenuto has served Dumfries well over 45 years, bringing a true taste of Toacana through traditional Italian cuisine using Scottish regional products such as meat, seafood, handmade pasta and dough.
Owner Giampiero Paolinelli has thanked his 21 staff members that worked with passion and enthusiasm even through the covid period, as well as everyone that took the time to vote for them.
