Team rush to aid of injured walker

AN injured walker was rescued off the Annandale Way by Moffat Mountain Rescue team.

They were called out at 5.10 pm on Monday by Police Scotland, with 17 team members attending the scene.

The walker was assessed, given pain relief and safely packaged into a stretcher before being carried from the hillside to meet the Scottish Ambulance Service who took the casualty on to hospital.

A MMRT spokesperson said: “We wish the walker all the best in their recovery.

“Rescues like these wouldn’t happen without donations from the public to aid in funding our team’s costs.”
