TWO businesses in Castle Douglas were broken into overnight Monday to Tuesday.

Cash and a Mactools code reader worth £300 were taken from the premises of Watts Motors in Station Yard Industrial Estate and a Snap-On Modus diagnostic machine valued at around £5000 was stolen from P and A Motors in New Market Street

Meanwhile, a house in Mount Pleasant Avenue, Kirkcudbright was broken into sometime between 3 pm on Sunday  and 6.30 pm on Monday.  A small amount of money and some jewellery was stolen in the raid.
Police are investigating and Constable Lindsey Tait said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to get in touch with us at Castle Douglas or Kirkcudbright through the 101 number if they can help.”
