Thieves strike across Annandale

POLICE are investigating a spate of thefts in Annandale on the same night this week.

Lead to the value of £30 was stolen from the Hoddom Castle Caravan Park sometime overnight Sunday to Monday.
Also that night, a Bell wacker plate worth £700 was taken from a building site in Turnberry Road, Annan.
Furthermore, garage premises at Castlehillgate Garage, Castlehillgate in Lochmaben were broken into and a large amount of diagnostic equipment stolen. A Nextbase dash-cam, a battery charger and a borescope were also taken. The property is valued at many hundreds of pounds.
Meanwhile, the Towerwood Golf Centre in Dalbeattie Road, Dumfries was the subject of a break-in overnight Sunday to Monday as well.
Cash, confectionery, soft drinks and coffee were stolen in the raid. The total value was into hundreds of pounds.
Detective Inspector Dean Little at Dumfries said: “We are still being hit with thefts across the division and at this stage are keeping an open mind as to which ones might be connected. We urge the public to keep the calls coming in whenever they see or hear anything which might be unusual or suspicious.”
