LOCKERBIE Tornadoes captain Stuart MacKay is hoping to make it a double to the season following league success.
The basketball club, who play their home games at Lockerbie Academy, are on course for the league and cup double after claiming the SLBA Division One Championship last month.
They go up against Glasgow Fever in the Anderson Cup Final on Sunday April 27 at Playsport East Kilbride.
MacKay said: “It’s been a great year for the club. We have been close a few times (to winning the championship), but this year we were able to finish strong in a competitive league.
“It’s great for the team. We have recruited well, and that has complimented our core team well.
“We finished strong last year with a cup win but the league has always been our focus.
“Luckily we have the chance of a league and cup double with the final at the end of April against the number two team in the league.
“We are a small club trying to grow and have several dedicated members involved from coaches to players.
“I’m happy that we have had such a positive impact and a successful season.”
