NOMINATIONS are open for the first ever regional South of Scotland Thistle Awards.
Tourism and events businesses in Dumfries and Galloway are being encouraged to enter by May 12.
Numerous Dumfries and Galloway businesses have had great success at the Scottish Thistle Awards, including Queensberry House in Moffat, named Best B&B or Guest House Experience, at the West Regional Final of the Scottish Thistle Awards in 2022.
In addition, Wigtown Festival Company scooped a prestigious National Thistle Award for Innovation in Tourism in 2018/19. VisitScotland destination development director Gordon Smith said: “The South of Scotland Thistle Awards offer the opportunity for individuals and businesses in the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway to gain recognition for all the work they do to make the region and Scotland such a fantastic place to visit and stay.
“I would encourage those working in tourism and events in the region to get their entries in and help shine a spotlight on our area.”
