Tree tribute

DEPUTY lord lieutenant Alison Hall has laid a wreath at the base of The Queen’s Tree outside the Easterbrook Hall in Dumfries.

The maple was planted by Her Late Majesty in July 2010 with help of head gardener Gary McCormick, who joined Mrs Hall.
