LOCKERBIE Tornadoes Basketball Club lifted silverware last weekend after a hard fought battle against the Glasgow Olympians Basketball Club.
The Tornadoes beat their Glasgow rivals 70-50 at East Kilbride’s Playsport Arena to lift the Strathclyde Basketball League’s Anderson Cup.
It was a game of runs with a dogged and capable Olympians team fighting till the end. Fortunately, the Tornadoes were able execute when necessary. The game was played in the right spirit which is a credit to both teams and the Strathclyde Basketball League.
This is a great achievement for the club with the win made even better as guard Jack Shand claimed match MVP honours.
Thanks are expressed to all of the supporters who helped the team get the win.
