The trees will come in various sized packs (limited numbers of each size available), from a single tree, up to 100 trees. Packs will contain a mix of wildlife friendly native tree species and include a biodegradable cardboard tree guard and stake for each tree.
A BFT spokesman said: “Planting trees gives you the opportunity to get out in the fresh air, help the local wildlife for years to come and do your bit for climate change.”
To apply for a pack, visit: https://bordersforesttrust.org/events/tree-giveaway.
Applications are open until 5 pm on February 28, subject to availability.
Collection will be from Moffat week beginning March 7.
