TV dealer opens Castle Douglas office

TIM Hogarth from TV’s Dickson’s Real Deal has opened a permanent office in Castle Douglas.

Tim, a regular dealer on the hit ITV show for 16 years, took the opportunity to tell us about his new venture at 164 King Street.

He said: “I’ve always loved Dumfries and Galloway and have visited the area many times and lived in the area before finally making the county our permanent home in September 2022.

“This gave me the opportunity to open an office in Castle Douglas where people can come along and meet me and sell their gold, silver and antiques to somebody they know rather than sending it via post or to auction and losing 20 per cent of the sale proceeds in commissions.”

Tim says he was always surprised by the huge demand when he did buying events in Dumfries and Galloway in the past and felt this was now the right time to establish his business in the area, giving locals the opportunity to sell their gold, silver, antiques etc throughout the year at specified dates at his office. These will be advertised in the local press.

Tim added: “Gold is at all time high and I look forward to doing the ‘Real Deal’ with the lovely people and Dumfries and Galloway!”
