TV show tells of stars’ lucky escape

WHAT do Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall, Sex Pistols front man John Lydon and Motown legends The Four Tops have in common

All had planned to to travel on doomed Pan Am Flight 103, it has emerged.

Next week a documentary, ‘Lockerbie: The Unheard Voices’, tells the stories of those who did not make the December 21 1988 flight.

The plane was en route from Heathrow to New York on December when it was blown out of the sky by a bomb which exploded in the cargo hold.

All 243 passengers aboard and 16 crew died, while 11 residents on the ground in Lockerbie were also killed.

The new TV documentary tells how Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall missed her flight as she went to Harrods to catch up on Christmas shopping instead.

Meanwhile, Detroit music legends the Four Tops did not make the flight due to a last-minute change in the recording time for an appearance on Top of the Pops. They left London later on a British Airways flight.

And, the Sex Pistol’s John Lydon said he missed his flight as his wife was taking too long to pack.

The show is on Channel 5 tonight at 9 pm.
