TOP UFO podcaster Andy Mcgrillen launches his new book next week in Thornhill.

Andy is the host and creator of That UFO Podcast with over five million downloads and the launch of his new book, the ‘Atlas of Unidentified Flying Objects’, will be held at bookshop and venue Thomas Tosh on Thursday evening.

Andy’s fascination with the subject was cemented by personal experience, as he explained: “I’ve been intrigued by the UFO topic since I was a little kid. Having had my own sighting as a child, the fascination has never left me.”

His encounter with a mystery object occurred when he was in the Knightswood suburb of Glasgow in the mid 1990s. He had just left a Boys’ Brigade meeting when he and his group, including his Mum, saw what Andy’s describes as ‘a huge spinning string of lights. Imagine a ferris wheel at a carnival, but tilted and spinning incredibly fast’.

The book delves in to all things UFO from crash retrieval, abduction, and close encounter with specially commissioned maps, to detailed case studies, photographs and direct witness testimonies.

Andy added: “This book for me is one I’d want to read myself. It’s an introduction to cases from around the world. Some well-known, others less so. But I’d love for someone to pick it up, find a case they had never heard of before and have it stir something in them to go investigate further.”

The launch event takes place at Thomas Tosh, at 7.30 pm on Thursday September 18. For more information visit the Thomas Tosh website.
