War Memorial Award

MOFFAT war memorial has been named one of the best kept war memorials in the region.

The accolade was awarded by the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) as part of their annual competition. The competition is divided into five regional areas with various categories.

The Moffat memorial was entered into the Glasgow, Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway competition in the satellite war memorial without a garden category and emerged victorious.

Thanks are now being paid to RBLS Moffat member George Allan, whose hard work and dedication along with Moffat Civic Pride and community groups helped secure the award for the town.
