GRANTS of up to £12,000 are available for groups working to benefit residents living within the Johnstone, Templand, and Kirkpatrick Juxta community council areas.
And they have until November 10 to submit their applications for support from the Minnygap Wind Farm Community Fund.
The fund provides grants to support charitable activities that, among other things, enhance the quality of life for local residents, promote community spirit and encourage community activity, provide a safe and pleasant place to live, help people into work and improve local transport.
It supports a wide range of projects, costs and activities and payouts have previously gone to Annandale Community Transport Services and The Johnstonebridge Dog Walkers Group, among others.
The fund is provided by Minnygap Energy Ltd, and the Johnstonebridge Community Centre & Development Trust (JCCDT), and is administered by Foundation Scotland.
