WINTER cycling returns to Newton Stewart next weekend for the sixth annual cyclo-cross race.
The event was announced by hosts the Galloway Hillbillies Bike Club earlier this week, as part of the South West Winter Series.
The club are excited to welcome racers and spectators to Kirroughtree for an exciting day of racing. A spokesperson said: “We’re excited to announce our sixth cyclo-Cross event on Sunday, 19th January 2025! Cyclo-cross is the ultimate winter cycling challenge where riders tackle a short, intense course filled with obstacles like steep hills and bike-carrying hurdles. It’s a test of skill, endurance, and speed!
“We will have multiple categories for all ages and abilities of riders with each category racing for time depending on age and ability.”
