Witness appeal after attempted shop break-in

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an attempted break-in at an Annan shop.

Officers say someone attempted to break into Boots, on the town’s High Street, around 9.40 pm on Tuesday, August 18.
The person was wearing a balaclava and was in possession of a metal bar. Although the person failed to gain entry, damage was caused to the front entrance of the shop.
Police are asking if anybody saw or heard anything suspicious or have any information in relation to this incident, to phone them on 101 quoting reference PDG0160860820.
