A TEN mile sponsored walk in aid of Annan Day Centre raised the grand total of £1546.75.
And organisers and leaders Julie Shaw and Keith Mackay have thanked everyone who supported and sponsored them.
They walked from Annan to Brydekirk and back last month, with friends and neighbours joining them for part of the way.
The pair handed over the final total last week and hope it will help go towards the new build day centre in Charles Street.
Keith is a regular user of the day centre and wanted to show his support.
Julie said: “Thanks to Shona Starr, Doris Mackay, Donald and Brian from the committee.
“Also, thank you to Gillian Campbell and her brother Iain for donating their mum’s 42 porcelain dolls which made £307.
“We were overwhelmed with all the sponsors and support from family and friends. It means a lot, especially being our first time doing a charity walk.”
