Woollen Mill to go on trial

THE Edinburgh Woollen Mill Limited is to face trial later this month on two charges of making a product available on the market falsely claimed to be 100 per cent cashmere.

The firm, of Waverley Mills, Glenesk Road, Langholm, has pleaded not guilty to two charges under the Textile Markets Labelling regulations involving a cashmere scarf on each occasion, at their former store at Church Place, Dumfries, on February 18, and June 24, 2014.
The trial, expected to last two days, is due to start on February 26 at Dumfries Sheriff Court.
