Xmas banners ripped down

ANGER has been expressed after banners for a charity event were found torn down.

The organisers of the region’s Christmas Tractor and Truck fundraising run were sad to report some of their posters in Dumfries had been removed, including those on Annan Road and the Whitesands.

They said: “These banners are helping us advertise and pre warn people that it is happening. We are raising money for a hospital ward so close to our hearts .

“We plan this for months on end, putting in so much time, effort, money, sweat and tears and it costs the public nothing at all unless they wish to donate.

“We would like to ask anyone who may have information about this to come forward and if it was you please privately message us to explain yourself.

“This is so disheartening that’s people would do this.”
