To celebrate the Year of the Young People, and thanks to funding from them, this year’s 10th free festival has been significantly expanded and moved to a larger site at Park Farm and bumped from a one day do to two days.
Previously the one day event had 12,000 tickets up for grabs, but the new larger venue holds 20,000 per day.
New to this year is the creation of a kids tent, new stage and colour me run.
And with the larger venue comes bigger acts than ever before with chart toppers Sigala, Rudimental and Jax Jones all headlining.
Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Stuart Davidson of Police Scotland has issued a reminder that Youth Beatz is a dry festival.
He said:“We would like to remind those attending Youth Beatz that it is an alcohol free event, and as such local Police officers will be working closely with event staff to ensure anybody in possession or under the influence of alcohol will not gain entry to the event.
“All partners that are involved in the planning and delivery of the event want it to be a success and enjoyable for all, and would appreciate cooperation of those attending the event.”
And with temperatures set to climb to around 25 C, attendees have also been reminded to stay hydrated and prepare for sunshine.
